Hello.

Urban Land.

Have you ever been driving down the road and noticed how beautiful the back of trucks can be; the aged patina on dump trucks or the reflection of the sunset on a mylar semi?  This inspired my work and eventually, I would like to do an entire semi to drive around towns across the US and take art to the streets.

All of the work is painted on truck parts: semi doors and panels as well as gas tanks and tires.

The concept behind the paintings/sculptures is to juxtapose the impact of a highly urban, industrial product such as a semi- truck and it’s parts with paint in soft pastels. The canvas is an very well known object shown in a different way to inspire how we look at trucks traveling with us on our various life journeys.

The camera does not capture the subtle soft colors and textures employed. There are many close-ups and details of each painting/sculpture in the potion of the site under ”Work” to help define the real feelings of each piece.
